Will Insurance Cover My Rentals Expense? Here’s What You Need to Know

At RecovRentals, we understand that medical expenses can add up quickly—especially during your recovery journey. One of the most common questions we receive is whether the cost of renting our facedown recovery equipment is covered by insurance.

While we cannot guarantee coverage from every insurance provider at this time, we want you to know that we're committed to doing everything we can to support your claim.

What We Provide to Support Your Claim

We will equip you with:

  • An official receipt for your rental

  • RecovRentals legal letter detailing:

    • What RecovRentals provides

    • Our role in your post-operative recovery

    • Why our equipment matters to your health and comfort

    • Our contact information for verification and follow-up

We’re also happy to contact with your insurance provider directly if they have any questions about our services.

Strengthen Your Claim with a Prescription

To further support your claim, we strongly recommend requesting a written prescription from your Retinal Surgeon or Ophthalmologist, stating that facedown recovery equipment is a medically necessary part of your post-op recovery. This prescription, paired with our official documentation, significantly increases your chances of getting reimbursed.

The Best Approach

In many cases, the best approach is to provide RecovRentals official letter, the receipt and the prescription directly to your insurance provider. When all documents are submitted together, there’s a much higher likelihood of successful reimbursement.

We’re Actively Working to Improve Insurance Coverage

At RecovRentals, we're committed to making the insurance process as smooth as possible for our clients. While we can’t guarantee coverage just yet, we’re actively working to build relationships with major insurance providers across Canada. Our goal is to make it easier for clients like you to receive reimbursement without the extra hassle.
